£4,500.00 Sizanani Africa 'Readiness for Work Training' aims to increase employment or further education opportunities for 45 young people from the BME community who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). It will provide an interactive reading and self-expression training programme with hands-on experience and achieve accredited training. It intends to prepare individuals with writing and interview skills prior to a job application and offer further personal coaching to sustain performance at work once employed. Furthermore, it will provide an after-project acre to at least 20 participants to enable them to enter employment, volunteering or further training. 2011/12
£7,400.00 League of British Muslims 'Participation Project' aims to provide support and build the capacity of small black and minority ethnic (BME) voluntary and community groups in the Borough. It aims to provide access to information, advice, guidance and training in accessible community language. It will also empower small BME community groups to access all services, participate in decision making and community cohesion activities 2011/12
£7,500.00 Sikh Community Care Project 'Social Care and Community Programme'aims to deliver a comprehensive health and well-being programme that will improve well-being and healthy lifestyles to tackling obesity and diabetes amongst the South Asian community. It aims to provide information and advice; support and counselling services; employment and training opportunities in partnership with other key stakeholders. In addition it aims to increase involvement in participation in local decision making and raise awareness of local mainstream services. 2011/12
£9,500.00 Forest Farm Peace Garden To work with a broad cross-section of the community to promote health, wellbeing, inclusion, environmental sustainability and intercultural awareness. 2011/12
£9,500.00 Eastside Community Heritage 'Moving Stories' -The project aims to engage Asian elders and the Roma community to exchange and share history, cultural and traditions. It intends to build partnerships between the local Asian businesses, members of the Roma community and Asian elders and develop various activities to break down the language barriers between both communities.It also aims to develop skills and confidence and encourage both groups to work closely together. In addition it will work with local schools to train young people to record older people's stories. and provide an opportunity for young people to improve their English, communication skills and gain training on desktop design. 2011/12
£9,500.00 Samaritans of Redbridge 'Fit for the Future' - The proposal aims to provide an integrated text service and new telephone, free call and e-mall systems. It is intended to remove barriers to Samaritan contact, provide a quicker caller response, improved managed care plan for the many regular callers and caller intelligence to facilitate a targeted approach. 2011/12
£9,515.00 Shpresa Programme 'Changing our Future' aims to promote access to training, employment and volunteering opportunities for Albanian men and women and other refugees and migrant communities seeking employment/support in accessing training to increase skills and confidence. It intends to signpost beneficiaries to National Vocational Qualifications and hold an Employment Fair. The project also aims to tackle the disadvantage and discrimination experienced by Albanian men and women and those from other refugee communities by providing a service to enable them to gain skills, confidence and support to access volunteering and employment opportunities. 2011/12

£14,250.00 Redbridge Rainbow Community 'Redbridge Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Voices' -The proposal aims to provide a series of activities to enable Redbridge LGBT community to engage in local consultations, influence decision making, raise awareness of, and challenge prejudice and discrimination against the LGBT community in the borough. 2011/12
